Yesterday after work I had to go to London Drugs to pick up a cable splitter ($4) and a coaxial cable ($17) in order to have internet/cable at the same time. Right now, my place is still kind of a disaster. I can't wait until my bed is put back together, and my computer is properly set up. J also said he would run the cables under the baseboards, which totally beats the random cables running throughout my place at the moment.

We also went to Safeway, and I spent $11.50 on a loaf of bread, 2 bananas, 1 apple, 1 nectarine, and a carton of Tropicana orange juice. I didn't want to do a big grocery run because we're going to Superstore and Costco sometime next week to do a massive shop.

Krystal, I have a bag with a bunch of co-ax and I probably still have an extra splitter although I'd have to look.

You should have mentioned you needed them before you went shopping.

And the Tropicana was probably the most expensive item. Food prices have indeed gone up. I would know because I work for Loblaws and I see how prices were raised all over the place. For example, a honeycrisp apple, which is locally grown, is now $2 a pound where I work. And these things are quite big, easy one apple is almost a pound. So $2 for one apple which is grown maybe an hour drive away from the store. Pure ripoff if you ask me but it tastes so good! Just to show you how the little things can add up.
